At Brigid Collins Family Support Center, we believe that every child deserves to grow up in a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment. Over the years, our work has expanded and deepened to meet the evolving needs of children and families in our community. We spent much of 2024 working hard with our board and staff to better reflect the scope of our services and our commitment to enhancing a healthy and resilient community. I am proud to announce that we have updated our mission and vision statements.
Our mission is to strengthen community health and resilience by providing comprehensive support to children and their families.
Our vision is a thriving community where no child suffers.
These statements reflect our unwavering dedication to preventing child abuse, supporting families, and fostering a community where every child can flourish. This past year, we have made significant strides in advancing this mission, and we are proud to share some of our accomplishments:
We served 2,300 families!
We provided 1,674 individual therapy sessions to children who’ve experienced trauma and their caregivers.
We conducted 260 child forensic interviews in Whatcom and Skagit Counties.
Provided emergency resources and financial assistance to families facing hardship.
Strengthened community partnerships for efficient and effective service delivery.
These achievements are possible because of your support, dedication, and belief in our mission. As we move forward with our renewed mission and vision, we invite you to continue standing with us to ensure that no child in our community suffers.
