Get Involved

Investing in a community-based nonprofit like Brigid Collins Family Support Center is essential to building a stronger, more resilient community—especially in a place like the North Puget Sound, where connection and mutual support are part of the local identity.

Supporting a nonprofit doesn’t just mean donating money—it can also include volunteering time as a board member or at the auction, attending community events, advocating for our mission, taking a Stewards of Children training or even sharing our work with others. In a region that values compassion, collaboration, and well-being, investing in organizations like Brigid Collins help create a ripple effect: stronger families lead to healthier neighborhoods, which in turn sustain the vibrant, caring community we all depend on.

Group Tours

Take a look around the Children’s Advocacy Center and learn more about the foundational role the CAC plays in the community.
Interested in learning more about the big blue building on the corner of Holly St and Garden St in Downtown Bellingham (did you know it used to be a church?) please reach out to Barb Lupo, Donor Development Officer, at blupo@brigidcollins.org.

Tours typically do not last longer than an hour and are a great way to learn more about our work and connect with our mission. We are also happy to host a group for a tour, of up to approximately 15 people per tour. Inviting our community in to see our work is such an impactful way to connect- we hope to see you soon!

Sponsorships

Businesses play a vital role in building healthy communities. Local support is crucial to our work, both within the scope of providing cohesive services and the financial landscape. We offer several different opportunities to sponsor our work:

Become an Annual Sponsor– annual sponsorships typically range between $1,000-5,000 a year and are a popular choice for local businesses looking to make a long-term impact in our community’s health.

Become an Auction Sponsor- “The Event” is our annual fundraising auction, taking place in late February at the Hotel Bellwether’s gorgeous waterfront ballroom. Once described by a guest as a “who’s who of Whatcom”, we take pride in cultivating a compassionate, curated and unique event, honoring our supporters with a great evening of philanthropy. Ask us about our many custom-created sponsorship auctions, we typically begin this process in early September each year.

Become a Steward of Change– The brainchild of a long term supporter, this group boasts donors who have committed to  $5,000 a year for 5 years, local partnerships that strengthen our community through ongoing committed financial support.

Become a part of the Safe Kids Succeed Fund, Built by Dawson Construction– Founded with the committed that no child suffers, Dawson Construction was the inaugural donor to this fund, committing to $10,000 a year, for five years. This partnership ensures that we have a fluid safety net for our programs and services, ensuring we can sustain the many bumps in the road, and always continue to offer these vital services to the community at no cost. Joining Dawson Construction last year, we welcome Birch Equipment as a Safe Kids Succeed Sponsor at the $5,000 a year level. We are dedicated to building this fund up, and welcome inquiries.

To learn more about the types of and benefits of sponsorship, contact Barb Lupo, Donor Development Officer at blupo@brigidcollins.org or (360) 734-4616.
